I'm taking a break from judging tonight to bring you a new British band that deserves the oxygen of publicity. Despite the name The Disraeli Gears aren't a hard rocking blues band, their music owes more to the wistful, ethereal rock of All About Eve and the free spirited rock of Edie Brickell & The New Bohemians. 

Hieroglyphs is only their second single and they already sound fully formed and ready to take on the world.
