According to wikipedia the bogus pipeline is a technique used by social psychologists to reduce false answers when attempting to collect self-report data. It's also the name chosen by Russell Taysom the male half of Cambridge artrockers Micropenis (first featured on the blog back in 2008 Small But Perfectly Formed). It'll look much better on a badge and t-shirt than his previous band and googling it is a lot less embarrasing.

Bogus Pipeline are so fresh off the press that they don't have any of the standard accoutrements of the modern band. There's no Facebook, Myspace, Last.FM or Bandcamp site. The only sign that they exist is a solitary track on Soundcloud. Obsolete Currency is a sleazy electro glam stomp that sounds like Micropenis in glitter boots.

There's nothing bogus about Bogus Pipeline they're the real deal.
