The Girls Are In Charge

What Would Jesus Drive?
From: United Kingdom

2010 has been a great year for music so far. The job of sifting the best tracks of the year down to a top 10 is going to be more difficult this year than any year since the blog began over four years ago.

Not making the job any easier are Brit poppers What Would Jesus Drive? Their 'Girls Are In Charge', an electro glam rocker that sounds like someone turned The Ting Tings inside out and injected the remains with rocket fuel, is elbowing it's way to the head of an already overcrowded field.

Not content with producing a contender for track of the year they're also a leading contender for song title of the year for their irreverent 'Boomtown Twats' which one perceptive critic has described as "90 seconds of concentrated evilthink wrapped up in an incongruously melodic overcoat" (Soundsxp.com).

And, if you're wondering, I'm pretty sure that Jesus wouldn't drive any of the vehicles on the market today. His mode of transport would remain the humble donkey!
