Queen Victoria

Victoria & JacobVictoria & Jacob
Genre: Electro / Pop
From: London, United Kingdom

This week has been one of those weeks when everything I've listened to has been dull, average and uninteresting. Nothing has grabbed me by the collar thrown me against the wall and said you have to share this with your readers or their lives will be empty without it. That is one of the main reasons why there has been less than the usual helping of the Devil's words of wisdom this week.

So a big thanks to Victoria & Jacob who have reached the parts other bands cannot reach helping me to rediscover my spark with 'Clash' a sliver of lo-fi electro pop that is so far above everything I've heard this week it's brought it's own ladder.

Sounding like a clash (see what I did there and you think this is just thrown together!) between Lily Allen and The Postal Service, it's poppier than poppy flavoured lemonade and it couldn't be more now if it'd been incubated in a test tube by Lady Gaga until five minutes ago. Which is surprising as it was first released 12 months ago.

Victoria & Jacob have a new single,"With No Certainty", coming out on Voga Parochia
h in March and if it's half as good as 'Clash' it'll be one of the best tracks of 2010.
