LA singer songwriter Yael Meyer, who was born in Santiago, Chile, sent me a digital copy of her latest EP 'Heartbeat' last week and it blew me away.

The EP is deceptively yet beautifully simple. It's the sound of running barefoot in a dew encrusted meadow in white chiffon. It's the soundtrack to one of those dreams where everything in your life is perfect. It's the sound that creeps from under the door of an innocent hippy chick's boudoir late at night. It'll be the sound you hear when sipping your cappuccino in your local chichi coffee shop in 2010, a decaffeinated Sade if you like.

I hope there's meyer of the same to come from Yael (groan that's bad even for you The Devil's editor)
