They Call Them Mellow Mellow

Fields Of IndustryFields of Industry
Genre: Psychedelic / Experimental / Rock
From: Lansing, Michigan, United States

Fields of Industry started life as a bedroom recording project of Joshua Barton in Lansing, Michigan a decade ago .

Now a fully blown band after recruiting, amongst others, Eric Gallippo, also of Man At Arms and Joel Schrauben, also of Bear Mountain Picnic, Fields of Industry are as mellow as a hippy on opiates. In fact if they were any more laid back they'd be horizontal.

Thick clouds of distorted guitar float along like a druggy haze, buffeted by lulling drones and languid vocals creating an ambient, blissed out stoned-sounding effect that teeters on the edge of folk and nu gaze without falling into either camp.

Ladies & Gentlemen think Spiritualised floating in space with
Spacemen 3.
