Mercury Rising

Sweet Billy PilgrimSweet Billy Pilgrim
Genre: Electronica / Folk / Experimental
From: London, United Kingdom

In a sign that the Devil reaches parts other blogs cannot reach Sweet Billy Pilgrim's album 'Twice Born Men', featured on the Devil's blog in January (Pilgrim Fathers), has been nominated for the Mercury Prize.

The album, which the Devil called stunning and more hypnotic than a bucket of benzos with none of the side effects, is a left field choice for the Mercury panel and has to be the only one on the Mercury list to have been recorded in a
garden shed and to feature a 'tuned dishwasher' as an instrument.

It's fantastic that a band as pure and unpolluted as Sweet Billy Pilgrim, a
n oasis of calm in the midst of London's indie smog, are getting the recognition they justly deserve.

So keep reading the Devil's blog delivering tomorrows music today.
