Back in September 2007 the Devil featured a band from Austin called iKiLLCaRS (iKiLLCaRS) who the Devil thought were destined for great things. Well the band split up earlier this year without even becoming famous in their own lunchtime. Ok I never claimed to be Nostradamus!

Out of the ashes of iKiLLCaRS comes Followed By Static a band as underground as a miners bolt-hole and as indie as a Fall-Sonic Youth gangbang. The band's debut 7", combining the lo-fi Velvet Underground experimenting with shoegazing of 'Lullaby' with the garage stomp of 'AADC', is due out next month.

iKiLLCaRS is dead long live the static.
