Mountain Mirrors is the unique vision of Jeff Sanders, a man convinced that what the world needs now is acoustic prog rock, a man unconcerned by the fripperies of fashion or cool.

When I first got the email introducing me the band I actually thought Mountain Mirrors was the title of a song and that band name was The Immortal Deadbeats and I much prefer it that way.

There was more confusion to come when I got around to listening to the track as it's a bizarre conglomeration of Beck and Jethro Tull. Intrigued I checked out the other tracks on the band's myspace site and they far from run of the mill. 'Owned Again' is laid back psych embellished with guitar solos from the dark side of the moon, while tracks like 'Calm Before The Storm' , 'Ascension Vibes' and 'Karmic Dogs' have the unmistakeable scent of the late 60s.

Elvis Costello once sang about a Man Out Of Time, Jeff Sanders is just such a man and Mountain Mirrors are just such a band.
