Song For Drella

ImprintImprint
Genre: Gothic / Experimental / Post punk
From: London and South East, United Kingdom

Imprint is the pseudonym of London based experimental electronic artist Sin D’rella (itself a pseudonym I'm guessing). Her thoughful electronica is as moody as a gang of Goths who've lost their eyeliner and darker than a moles pocket.

She is already causing quite a stir particularly with a chilling version of Joy Division's 'Love Will Tear Us Apart' which made Peter Hook's my hairs stand on end. Of the other tracks on her Myspace site 'Reptilian' (provided for download below) is a curious mix of gothic grandeur, Billy Holiday and Toyah Wilcox, her alternative version of 'America The Beautiful' is controversial and unlikely to gain her an invite to sing at the Republican Congress.

Sin has recently completed her debut album 'The Wisdom Out of The Wound' which she will be unleashing in May 2009 through her own newly created label Feral Intuition Records. The album will come in a metal tin in a satin bag and, according to Sin, should smell of her. So n
ot only will the album sound good it'll also look and smell good too!
