Computer Says Yes

Last Year's ModelLast Year's Model
Genre: New Wave / Japanese Pop / Punk
From: New York, United States

New York's leading circuit benders Last Year's Model overdose on synths like unreformed Moog addicts. They sound like Devo locked in a lift with XTC and Kraftwerk on speed, have a "singer"
who yelps like a howler monkey being poked with a stick and look like they've had an accident with the wardrobe designer for The Buggles.

They refer to their sound as Robot Pop but it's much more human than that makes it sound. There's a punky, irreverent edge to the Last Year's Model sound that doesn't take itself too seriously (check out the video 'Last Year's Model For Vice President' as evidence for the defence) clashing wonderfully with the inhuman mechanical beeps and bleeps.

Computer says Yes!
