Chapman & BrockerGenre: Pop
From: Thousand Oaks/Los Angeles, California, United States
They may sound like a hot shot law firm or a pair of chartered accountants but they're a brotherly duo who've graduated from writing the score for their father's surfing documentary Best Hours Of The Day to writing,
recording and producing their own album 'Dance Of The Crazy Man'.
The album, which has been out over a year but only came to the Devil's attention towards the end of last year, is a mellow set of sensitive baroque-pop excursions that's like listening to a pleasant dream. While their vocals are reminiscent of Sufjan Stevens and Jens Lekman, Chapman & Brocker's sound is more widescreen and ornamental than Sufjan and Lens.
If you're looking for dreamy pop that's as rich as a painters pallet and
as absorbing as a filter paper bikini then check out 'Dance Of The Crazy Man'.
