While researching the background of The Smittens (I'm In Love With...) I stumbled upon fellow Happy Happy Birthday To Me Records label mates, Eux Autres (The Others for those who failed French) and liked them so much that their track 'When I'm Up', which reminds me of Everything But The Girl circa 'Love Not Money, is now my Myspace profile song (check it out at The Devil's Myspace).

Sharing a smattering of French and a love of 60's French pop music they made the obvious decision to sing most of their songs in French, the language of love, as you do!

This brother and sister duo (no really they are brother and sister this is no White Stripes are they aren't they style hype) from Portland are a better adjusted lo-fi version of The Carpenters riding the wave of yé-yé music in early 60's France like Francoise Hardy on a garage pop surfboard.

Slap a few Eux Autres tracks on your Ipod, dig out your black beret and settle down with baguette and a glass of French wine and transport yourself to the Left Bank of the 60's.
