Indiecater

No your eyes aren't deceiving you and the internet hasn't been the subject of a terrorist attack lead by Osama Bin Hugger, todays Devil's post is given over to one of the best music blogs out there, mp3hugger.

The reason for this comradely gesture is that the first (hopefully of many) mp3hugger curated indie compilation, 'indiecater' has just been released. The downloadable album contains 10 unreleased tracks from artists that aren't getting the exposure their talent deserved while other lesser talents have their smug mugs plastered all over NME. To cap it all mp3hugger are passing all proceeds from the download to the artists.

The album highlights for the Devil are...

Foreign SlippersForeign Slippers
Genre: Alternative
From: Sweden

Foreign Slippers', otherwise known as Gabi Froden, children’s illustrator and songwriter, track 'Packed The Car' is a haunting folk lullaby that sounds like Fleetwood Mac and Tracy Chapman holed up in a lonely shack in a Scandinavian forest.

The E.L.F
The E.L.F.
Genre: Indie / Disco House / New Wave
From: Australia

The E.l.F. is the nom de guerre of Gerling's Darren Cross (who sounds like a London tube station!). His track 'Cockroaches' is the bastard son of a one night stand between Beck and Black Grape.
