Oh Man It's...

The Chap
Genre: Alternative / Rock / Experimental
From: London, United Kingdom

It's the week for off the wall eccentricity. The day after reporting the madcap antics of the sandwich posting Lovely Eggs I stumbled across the Dadaesque experimental electro-pop band The Chap.

The Chap, formed by Johannes Weizsacker when his former band Karamasov called it a day and championed by John Peel before his untimely death, are a twitchy tangle of lo fi electroclash laced with an idiosyncratically English humour. Check out the imaginatively titled and mind alteringly bizarre 'I Got Flattened By A Pig Farmer' which sounds like a Pythonesque cover of an outtake from Bowie's 'Lodger'

Following the successes of Tom Vek and Clor over the last couple of years it's surely time for The Chap to breakthrough.
