Polka Party are an art rock trio from London who have been generating more buzz than a cellar full of bees. Before they've even released their first single they've secured Support slots with The Horrors and Lupen Crook and plays on Tom Robinson's influential 6Music shows.
The bands first single 'Japanese Haircut' is scheduled for release on the prolific Happy Release Records on 9th June. Sounding like the long lost cousin of Gang of Four's 'Damaged Goods' the single is a withering critique of the modern teen girl that recalls Hadouken's 'That Boy That Girl'. It's a staccato art rock attack with enough individuality to stand out from the plethora of London bands queueing up to be the next big thing.

The other track on the single 'The Fizz' shows that 'Japanese Haircut' is no fluke equipped with la la la's like an art rock The Pipettes
