London's pop maestro Esser, who has just finished a tour with Foals, turns the quirky dial to full on with his new single 'I Love You' (released on 14th April on Merok Records . As infectious as Hepatitus it's like the younger brother of White Town's 'Your Women' (the one hit wonder to end all one hit wonders) with a curiously retro style that recalls Jim Noir debut album. This has worldwide hit written all over it and, if the tracks on his myspace site, he'll be more than a White Town one hit wonder. 'Headlock' s even better than 'I Love You' coming on like the missing link between Mike Skinner and Gorillaz with the boo boos from S'Express grafted on.
