Yip It's...

Yip YipYip Yip
Genre: Experimental / Progressive / Other
From: Winter Park, Florida United States

Yip Yip is two self confessed 'writhing costumed beanpoles' from Orlando, Florida. But this is no Mickey Mouse outfit, they have been together since 2001 spreading their eccentric offkilter electronica over a couple of self released albums an EP and a couple of handmade CD singles.

The band have just released their latest album, the 12 tracks in 25 minute blast of electronic deviance 'Two Kings of the Same Kingdom' and if you've heard anything like this before then you're either on medication or from another dimension.

Yip Yip dress like a monochromatic
Devo , have the dexterity of a musical Nadia Comaneci and have a kind of Klaxon, Kraftwerk thing going on.

'Two Kings of the Same Kingdom' is full of wierd and wonderful trips to the outer limits. Opening track 'Anarchist Clog' sounds like the theme tune from the odd 1970s cartoon
Roobarb played by 16 foot mutants from the 28th century. 'Car Picnic' and 'Club Mummy' is quite simply music from the fairground ride of your nightmares. 'Outer Tomato' and 'Heavies Go Odd' could easily be the soundtrack to Sonytendo's 22nd Century release of Super Mario 400 while 'Audacity Beach' could be or even the soundtrack to an episode of 1970's UK cult classic futuristic series The Tomorrow People.

It's a good job that the album is only 25 minutes long as I don't think my puny human brain could take much more!

Eccentrically spasmodic and spasmodically eccentric.
