More From The Patron Saints Of Soul...

Saint Bernadette
Genre: Rock / Indie / Pop
From: Bridgeport, Brooklyn, Connecticut United States

Saint BernadetteIt's not even been a week and the Devil is again featuring Saint Bernadette. No I've not found religion, nor have I received my invite to the kingdom of heaven from an extremely apologetic God (last time I checked I was told it must have got lost in the post, bloody Royal Mail!). It's just that they have some more product on the market that Devil's readers may be interested in taking a listen to.

Where October's album 'In the Ballroom' (see last weeks post on the Devil's blog
Take Your Vows With...) featured anthems for ethical sluts, Daddy's girls, and hookers with hearts of gold, new EP 'I Wanna Tell You Something' pays homage to an illusory, impossible love affair. Featuring sing along choruses, twisted circus melodies, and one crushing ballad, the EP's five songs detail a journey of longing through temptation, despair, whimsy, audacity, and vulnerability.

While the likes of
Amy Shitehouse and, even more so, Duffer shamelessly pilfer the past depressingly turning modern music into the professional wing of the karaoke movement, Saint Bernadette take the best of the past and create something new.
