Guitarist/vocalist Nicole Barille and drummer Sam Meister got together a few years ago with a vision of unleashing a minimalist soft/loud smart bomb on an unsuspecting world. That's exactly what they've delivered on the two mr Gnome EPs rleased to date and on their debut full-length CD, 'Deliver This Creature'. Due out on May 6th on El Marko Records the album is an inimitable fusion of AltRock, Dream Pop, Post Punk, and Prog.
mr Gnome's singularly intensive yet sweetly harmonic approach melds Cat Power minimalism, with the ear bleeding experimentation of Death From Above 1979, the grace of Blonde Redhead and the hypnotic dub of Massive Attack into a full blown assault on the tympanic membrane.
