Move over Tiny Masters of Today there are new kids on the block. With an average age of just 8.5 years ShiSho make the Tiny Masters of Today seem like dinosaurs. The Ohio based band first came to the attention of the world when they released a cover of the classic Dead Milkmen single, 'Punk Rock Girl' . The track was picked up by the indie radio scene in Cleveland, Ohio and they were tagged with having created one of the best new songs of 2004 (obviously The Dead Milkmen passed Ohio by!). They have since contributed tracks to a number of the Filthy Little Angels compilation albums including their cover of Sufjan Steven's 'Get Behind Me Santa'.

Despite their ages, lil sis, Midge and big sis, Vivian are no Hanson like novelty act. Along with kid core compatriots Care Bears On Fire, Fiasco, The Muldoons , Smoosh, Be Your Own Pet and, of course, Tiny Masters of Today, ShiSho's innocent, primitive, unprocessed, unfiltered music is a hugely refreshing antidote to the overblown, processed and over manufactured pop of their elders but clearly far from betters. Yes it's raw, yes it's amateurish, yes it's under produced, yes it's juvenile (what do you expect?) but it's the true spirit of punk, the true spirit of indie, it's music of the kids, by the kids for the kids.
