Hailing from the aptly named Ballard in Washington Kate Tucker is a female balladeer in the Suzanne Vega, Neko Case and Tracy Chapman mould. She has joined up with the Sons of Sweden (aka The Dark Ages) to produce an album full of acoustically intimate, moodily atmospheric tracks like 'Faster Than Cars' a song that is becoming increasingly well known via some sort of internet osmosis. The album was recorded in a barn with Ryan Hadlock who has a cv that includes Blonde Redhead, Gossip and The Octopus Project.
