From deep in the bowels of a secret recording studio somewhere on planet earth, Steve Goldberg with his merry band of orchestral mercenaries and every possible symphonic instrument known to man (and some that probably haven't even been invented yet) has produced an elaborately orchestrated pop masterpiece.

In the wrong hands this could easily have turned into the sort of overblown sugary mush that rots the brain and drives fully grown adults to reach for the revolver. Not so with monsieur Goldberg who manages to coral his Arch Enemies and their multitude of instruments into a tight set of literate pop songs akin to Sufjan Stevens covering the collected works of They Might Be Giants or a rock opera about the life and times of XTC written and performed by Stephen Merritt. All of which is topped off by an intelligent and unique approach to the rhyming couplet as evidenced by rhyming of Julia with Uvula in 'Julia' and the unforgettable line “She’s got a way with crème brûlée” from 'Artichokes'.

So the Devil's advice is track down this obscure, self released orchestral indie pop masterpiece before Goldberg fulfils his own prediction in 'February Third' to get out while he's still young.
