Chris Donlon and Mollie Hagar, who together make up the eponymous duo Chris & Mollie, met in Santa Cruz and bonded over a love of the Blue Album and the mutual desire to form a band. So they formed a band to play their unique brand of primal Pavementesque lo-fi pop complete with endearing blemishes and flaws that is authentic, honest and sincere. There are hints of former Go Go's cover band, The Swirlies and The Unicorns whilst 'Sore Eyes' sounds like a cross between a drugged up Wannadies and a really relaxed Velvet Underground while 'Mice Eyes' (what is it with this duo and Eyes?) sounds like Jonathan Richman having a fight with a small orchestra. Put simply Chris & Mollie are simply perfectly imperfect.
