It's been almost two years since Mother and The Addicts released their debut album 'Take The Lovers Home Tonight 'on Chemikal Underground Records home of Mogwai, Arab Strap and The Delgados. The bands deranged psych (otic as much as adelic!) punkabilly has been sorely missed, with only The Low Edges coming close to their magical, intoxicating mix of The Fall, Elvis, The Stray Cats, The Smiths and The Damned. Well the band are back this summer with the release of their inspirational second album, 'Science Fiction Illustrated' which promises to expand their punkabilly sound with the addition of synths to the punky doo-wop mix. The Devil has some tracks that you can try in the comfort of your own home to wet your appetite for the release of the new album...
